    Transferring old shows from old Tivo to new Tivo

    OK, here's the situation...

    We installed a new Series 2 Dual Tuner Tivo yesterday. We cancelled service on our old Series 2 Tivo. My wife informed me that there are many shows she wants to watch on the old Tivo. So, I fired it back up, thinking we could just view the shows, but now it wants to go through all of the setups again. Is there a way to 1) get out of the setup menus and get to the "Now Playing List?" And 2) even though the old Tivo is no longer activated with a Tivo service plan, can i hook both Tivos up on a network and transfer the shows?

    You can go through setup even though you don't have service. You won't be able to network the unit and move content unless it is subscribed.

      Thanks for the reply! That's the problem I'm running into... it won't let me get past the networking pages to access the programs that are on there. I didn't connect the old Tivo to the internet or phone due to the subscription being cancelled, but my wife just wants to catch her old shows before we get rid of the unit. Any way to bypass going through the setup? Special keys? Anything?

        Even without a subscription, you should be able to get through setup by connecting the TiVo to a phone line or home network.
