Tivo with MagicJack

Well, I cut the cord with AT&T and am now relying on the MagicJack for all my land line needs. Problem is, I can't seem to call the Tivo Update service. I really need to since I can't get any stations except 201 which is the directTV station after I replaced my Tivo harddrive.

Whenever I attempt to call from the settings/phone menu, I get either "Line Busy" or "service can't take call". What can I do??

Sounds like you need to give your phone service provider a call and see how to make calls with an analog modem. Or you can take your unit to another location with a landline and dial it in and then take it back. We also have this, which works with a lot of VoIP providers:
