I am replacing my old Direct TV receiver Tivo combo...can I view both tivos from one TV? My current direct tv receiver/Tivo combo is a Phillips is about 3 years old (I think it is series one) and it is having troubles with pixellation, failure to download the program guide and occasional rebooting issues. I am replacing it with a new unit from Weaknees. However, I have multiple hours of programming saved on my existing unit. Can I still view these programs on my tv by switching the connections from the new unit to the old one? Will I need additional equipment or access cards? I do not wish to record new things on my old receiver/tivo just watch some of the things recorded on it. I plan to keep both boxes near the tv and only switch the inputs when I want to watch something from my old archives...it seems easier to do that then save the programs to a dvd or VHS tape or to a PC.

Sure - you can keep using the old one. Just hook each to an alternate TV input, and set each remote to control only one box using this info:
