Both of my Series 2 TIVOs have gotten slower. I know that sounds funny but when I go to watch a recorded program, or to view scheduled program list, or to any action in program list, as it changes from one screen to the other it takes a long, long time. It did not do this until recently. I have restarted both TIVOs to see if that would help but it did not. It can sometimes takes as long as 20 seconds to change from one screen to another. Any one else have this problem or know a soultion?

That's almost definitely a hard drive problem. A "replace" kit for your model should fix the problem:

Both TIVO's ?
Both of my Series 2s have 2 hard drive each, both from Weaknees one 18 months ago one 23 months ago both with 2 year warranty. How would it be a hard drive problem???? Both in each machine????Comment

Power problems are often what damage drives, and they're almost always house-wide . . .Been here a long time . . .Comment

Power not it
Both my TIVOs are connected to seperate 750 watt Cyber Power AVR Battery Backups. Each Battery backup is on a designated circuit. I don't see power being the problem.Comment

We'd still recommend trying a new drive, at least in one unit. While we understand that it would be highly coincidental, chances are still that these are hard drive problems.Been here a long time . . .Comment

Which hard drive?
Since both of my TIVOs have dual hard drives, which hard drive should I try or would it be both drives to cause this problem? I have had no recording or playback problems just the delays.Comment

I'll wait until it gets worse
I'll wait until it gets worse before I replace. I just find it hard to believe that it is the hard drives, to pull out the hard drives when the only problems is the delay, is a bit much.
