I've enjoyed the expanded capacity of my D TV Samsung SIR4040r and it's working fine (currently running S/W 6.3e OK).

I want to return this unit to Dave to go with a HD DVR and I'm looking for a procedure to remove the 160GB add-on drive (a Weaknees kit) and return a working unit with the original 40GB drive.

I'm fairly comfortable (for a Windows user) in linux if I need to create-save-restore images, but I've never found a clear procedure in the forums.

Any help would be appreciated!
