I have a Pioneer810H which worked well for about 5 years and then began to
spontaneously reboot and get stuck on the powering up screen. I replaced the hard drive with a 160 GB drive. It worked well immediately afterwords, with no problem on setup. I was on vacation for a week following the upgrade and the unit was off. When I turned it on, it powered up fine and said that it would take an hour to get a Tivo service update. When I checked back, it
was stuck on the grey powering up screen. I rebooted the unit several times and am still unable to get it to go beyond the powering up screen. Is this a problem with the service update? It seems to me that a problem with the upgraded disk is less likely, given that it worked for at least a little while.
