Add old Series 2 HD to existing for more space?
I have a Series 2 Model #TCD24004A TiVo 40 hour unit with monthly service and was given a Series 2 Model #TCD24008A TiVo 90 hour unit that does not work properly. Does anyone know if I can take the 90 hour hard drive out of the bad unit and add it to the good unit for more storage. Several years ago, I added a second drive to my original TiVo (w/ lifetime service) unit so I am physically capable of doing this; my question is that I'm not sure if there are any software related issues. Thanks!
