Tivo S2 upgrade to HD keeping lifetime subscription?

I have a Series 2 Tivo with a lifetime subscription. Are there any HD upgrade kits available that would allow me to keep my lifetime subscription?

I looked in the forums and FAQs and couldn't find the answer.

There is no way to convert a Series2 unit to one that records HD. TiVo has in the past had short-lived promotions to allow a subscription transfer for a fee, but nothing is in place today. You can, however, purchase lifetime service on a new unit for $399 for a limited time.
