Last night it was working perfectly. This morning all I get is the Welcome Powering Up screen. I have unplugged and "rebooted" several times. When I plug it in the orange and red lights on both sides flash, then after a little while the red light on the right side flashes, I hear some ticking going on and that's it. Can my problem be solved? I have a lifetime with Tivo on this machine and don't want to lose it. I also have a rental DVD stuck in there which I need to get out. Please HELP!

Sounds pretty much like the hard drive is dead. You should get a "replace" kit from here:

I don't have a box in front of me, but I'm pretty sure there is an eject hole above where the HDD light is on the display. Once you find it, insert a straightened out paper clip into the hole and gently push.Comment
