  • Cake bake first drive and need to add second

I used cake bake to build a new tivo system after a HD crashed. I would now like to add a second drive. I tried just doing a blessTiVo on the drive and it reported everything ok. The tivo still does not recongize it however. Do I need to do a mfsadd to the drives and does the now working first drive get affected on during this process.
    mfsadd -r 4 -x /dev/hdX /dev/hdZ

    This is a 540080

BlessTiVo does not work if the original drive is not the factory drive. Yo uwould need to run the mfsadd command to marry the two drives.

Well, it will in that it will then need to see the second drive to work. But settings and programs won't be lost as long as it's done correctly.
        Been here a long time . . .
