Today I received and installed a new hard drive in my Tivo. It connected to my network and the setup went smoothly. It ran fine; for two hours. Since then it has rebooted three times; approximately once every hour. My old hard drive never rebooted once in the 3 or 4 years I had it. Whats up?

It's a Model 540040. Good news so far today, however. It hasn't rebooted since I updated the software version late last night. I noticed the software version on the new hard drive was 8.1, while my old hard drive was 9.1. I connected to Tivo a couple of times (it rebooted in the middle of one download) to get updates. Once it successfully completed the process, my software version is now 9.1. So far, so good. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for your time.Comment

Let's hope that does it, but if it doesn't, we may need to swap out the drive.Been here a long time . . .Comment
