Turn off captions (cc) on Hughes Tivo HDVR2

Apologies if this answer is somewhere but no luck in searching the forums.

How can I disable closed captions on my Series 2 Hughes HDVR2 DVR? I actually have two of this same model but the one purchased from Weaknees has closed captioning turned on. I can't find how to disable. Believe it is not the TV or anything else in the setup as both of them are connected to the same television. Any suggestions appreciated!

It's there in the settings - have you tried that option?

No option for captioning in Settings. My specs are:
Series 2 HDVR2
Software: 6.3e-01-2-151
I have two of these boxes with identical software.
**But with some further digging I determined that CC was on for only INPUT3 on my television which I suppose explains the hideous latency as well. Despite a few threads here and there mentioning captions I find nothing on any of my Tivos to enable/disable that.
