I have a series 2 Tivo (Model#TCD24008A). The unit was working fine until suddenly, it started to reboot on it's own. It went through this for 2 or 3 cycles, each time rebooting as it reached the Tivo welcome animation. I unplugged the unit for a few minutes and then reconnected it. This results in only a black screen with no indicator lights lit. I unplugged it for several hours with the same result. The cable signal passes through the unit when the power is disconnected and you can control the channels etc. with the Verizon FIOS box remote. However, as soon as you plug it in, the picture is lost to the black screen.

From reading the posts, I think it is a power supply problem, but I wanted to double check. Whatever the issue, I have a Lifetime subscription on the unit and would like to maintain that if possible.

Do you think a replacement power supply will fix this?
