  • Checking Drives ?

I want to check my 2 drives in my old series 1 Hughes as I think they have gave up the ghost ,But in your post for doing that it only shows the ability to do that making boot disc's via a floppy drive, but I don't have a floppy drive in my computer so is there another way to check the disc's or is floppy diskettes the only way available for now ?

The only other way we know to do it is to install DOS on a USB flash drive, copy the diags over to that, and then boot from that.
    Been here a long time . . .

Boot CD for hard drive diagnostics

You can also make a boot CD and boot from that. Seagate has an .iso image for there program which I used today. See the sticky to get to the Bootimage and use Nero to copy to a CD (can't just write it to the CD). On my Dell when it's showing the boot screen I hit F12 to go to boot select and choose the CD. Much faster than off a floppy.
