DirecTV Tivo Recording Capacity

Is there a way to check the recording capacity, "used" and "free" on a DirecTV Tivo - Series 2, Version 6.2 (Philips DSR704)?

The only place I see where it lists capacity is in the "System Information", which is total capacity.

Sorry - no - that's it. You can turn on "TiVo Suggestions" and watch the volume of shows in that folder. They use all of the "extra" space, so as they disappear, the unit is that much more full.

That's dissapointing. I can't believe with all the hype over the Tivo units compared to other DVR's that Tivo's don't show updated recording capacity. Basically, if I wish to record a show, I have to just hope there's enough space?

Basically. If there isn't, then it'll erase the oldest item that hasn't specifically been saved.
