i am brand ne wto this forum. I have direct tv with a hughes dvr series 2 with tivo. My hard drive is strating to go and i want to burn certain shows to dvd with a seperate dvd recorder. Can i do this?

Sure. The process would happen in real-time rather than as a file transfer, but you simply need to connect a dvd recorder to one of the analog outputs of the TiVo. You play the show on the TiVo and record the output on your dvd recorder.That's all there is to it! -

Thanks for the response. I see many dvd recorders available on e-bay like the RCA etc. They mention fast record. Are there dvd recorders that can record a program (allready on my tivo list ) at speeds faster than Real Time.
If so which one and can i buy it from you?Comment

No - the TiVo can't output faster than real-time, so that won't help.Been here a long time . . .Comment
