Directtivo rebooting loop

My DirectTV Tivo (Philips DSR6000R with an instantcake 80gb from 2006) started rebooting this evening while trying to add an item to be recorded in the To Do list history. Now it keeps rebooting after the almost there message.

Is it possible to save my recordings and fix this problem? The forums indicate a DirectTV upgrade may have caused this problem.

We seriously doubt DirecTV caused the problem - it's likely just a failing drive.

A "replace" kit should fix the problems. If you want us to try to copy over the data, you'll also need the $79 service. See our DSR6000 page.
