I just moved and do not have a land line phone number but want to use an adapter to tie into my wireless network - I was told a "B" wireless USB network adapter would work and i purchased one but my Tivo is telling me it does not work with my Tivo Series 2 that I just recently purchased. Do I need a "D" then? What would you recommend? Thanks for your help.

Not sure why your "B" adapter isn't working with your Series 2 because they are generally compatible.
However, the B and the D or a G are just the tip of the iceberg. Some models are simply not compatible and it's hard to know why. All I can say is you can confidently use either a model TiVo mentions on their site or that weaKnees offers here:
