external fan beneficial?

i was wondering if it would be beneficial to use a small fan
placed next to my TiVo ? i have series 2 60 hr and a series 2 upgraded to 638 hr.) last month i replaced both units fans from weaknees but i thought perhaps it might be EVEN BETTER for the units to operate w/ fans directed towards the backsides.

More air never hurts - it just pulls more heat from the unit.

That said, new fans should be sufficient on those units.

Been here a long time . . .
