I recently bought a TiVo Premier XL from Weaknees and found that the instructions for enabling the 30-second skip did not work. The traditional way of doing it was to play a recording and enter the following sequence: Select, Play, Select, 3, 0, Select.

I found a thread on the TiVo Community forums that said to watch live TV and add an extra Select at the beginning of the sequence. I tried that and it did not work for me. I then tried the new sequence while playing a recording and it did work.
