My old TiVo finally died and I want to get a new one. I don’t like the interface of the newer models (eg, Edge, Roamio) so I’m planning to buy a new Premier on eBay. However, I know that TiVo is not supporting legacy DVRs anymore. Will they still activate and grant a subscription for one of these old models or am I just completely out of luck? I called the company today and they hung up on me once I started asking about the legacy model. Thanks for any advice.

Wouldn't it just be easier to just buy a DVR that already has the old interface? Or are you saying that it is not possible anymore to get a subscription for the older models?Comment

I really don't know what TiVo will activate currently.
The downgrade procedure for these units is very simple, and you do it all with the remote.Been here a long time . . .Comment
