TIVO Remote

Unable to turn on-off TV; control audio volume including mute with remote
control. What cud be the problem; have checked all connections. DVR
yellow light comes on when pressing control buttons but function inop.
Ordered another remote from weaknees to day but not sure it that's the
answer.

Does the current remote still control the TiVo?

It still controls channel changes, info, record, pause but will not control audio
or tv on/off..

You probably just need to reprogram it. See this info:
