Direct TV Tivo - networking?

I recall from a while back that the DirectTV software package did not support the USB ports on the Samsung SIR Tivo units. I know I tried connecting one to my home network 2 years ago using a USB to LAN converter without success.

Is the situation unchanged?

Nope - DirecTV still doesn't allow networking on their units.

Been here a long time . . .
