Hi all,
I'm trying to wrap my head around creating a wired connection for my new Tivo Mini.
Here's what I know:
1. My current wireless set-up for my Tivo Premiere and Roamio won't work (at least not officially) for the Tivo Mini;
2. I must either use two Powerline adapters or two MoCa adapters to create a wired solution to use the Mini (short of wiring ethernet here).
Here are my questions:
1. If my Apple Airport (so it's a gateway modem) is on another floor-- must I put one adapter out from that to the Roamio, then one out from the Roamio, and then get another adapter into the new Mini?
OR
2. If the point of either the Powerline or the MoCa adapters is to use existing lines (of one sort or another) to create a bridge from the Roamio to the Mini, can I just use one adapter by the Roamio (which uses my wireless network perfectly fine otherwise) and one for the Mini?
As I understand it-- I really just need a wired solution from the Roamio to the Mini, no? Which means two adapters only-- either Powerline or MoCa.
Thanks-- and Happy New Year!
