Tivo roamio mini question

I just purchased a TIVo Roamio, and am now thinking of the mini. It states that it should be hooked up direct to ethernet. If the location is not near the ethernet/modem, can I run a cable to an ethernet extender that plugs into the outlet? Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer not to have to buy a $50.00 MoCA filter.

Those Powerline ethernet converters probably cost more than MoCA.

But you can try using that if you have it already. The latency could be an issue. Worth a shot.
