  • failed to download series

    I have a series 1 tivo. I noticed it keeps saying failed to download series I tried to force a call and it starts to load the guide then fails. Any suggestions?

    Sounds like your drive may have failed. Is it the original drive?

      I had the same trouble and ordered a Series 2 refurbished unit. Got it two days ago. Went thru the guided setup. No problems. Now, am out of program data. Everything works fine...prepares, connects, downloads for a long time...just when I think it is ready to disconnect and load to unit, I get a "call interrupted" message. I am mad. My old Series 1 was doing the same thing. Slightly different message...something about "failed". Same result. I bought a new unit because I was told the drive was probably bad. New unit...same problem. I tried over and over again. Different times....different numbers. Same result. HELP!!!
