  • Tivo Series3 HD Can't connect - Interrupted during 'Getting Info - Downloading'

    Configuration:
    - Tivo Series 3 HD
    - Comcast Arris Cable Modem, configured in bridged mode
    - Netgear wireless modem
    - Tivo connected via Ethernet cable to Netgear

    This configuration worked for months pbb years until last friday.
    My Comcast Arris box failed and had to be replaced.
    Since than, my Tivo won't complete the connection to the Tivo Service.
    It fails in the third step:

    Preparing - done
    Connecting - setting clock, getting account info, done
    Getting info - downloading... ---> interrupted !!!

    I tried connecting it directly to the Arris, when it was in its native mode.
    I tried connecting it to the Netgear, when the Arris is in bridged mode.
    In both cases, the error code is N11 - "problem with your home network... make sure your firewall is not set to block UDP ports..."

    I verified the firewall is off.

    I tried connecting the Tivo thru the phone line, and it gets interrupted in the same place.
    Error code is P10 - "make sure detect dial tone is disabled"

    I tried to go to the 'Wizard' which resets the Tivo settings, and now I can't go either forward or backward.

    What can I do? help...

    Sounds like you might actually have a bad drive.

    But try rebooting the Netgear, and then the TiVo, and then force another connection.
    Been here a long time . . .
