Tivo direct connect to PC?

I have a Series 2 Humax DRT800 Tivo. I had purchased a the wireless G Network adapter to transfer from my Tivo to my desktop.

I would much prefer to have a direct connection instead of wireless.
Can I simply connect my desktop to my Tivo just by using a USB cord?
Or is there something special I need to do so?

You can't use a USB directly - you need a USB to Ethernet adapter, then that would get connected to your Ethernet router.
