Cant program local number
I know I'm doing something stupid... but Im just not getting how to program a local dial-in number. I've just installed a new HD from weeknees and all is working fine except it wont make the first call because it does not find any local numbers. When I try to follow the instructions found in other threads to program a local number the tivo just starts changing channles as I enter the numbers... so I'm doing something wrong. Can you please tell me what screen do I need to be on when I start to program and what exactly are the key strokes I need to program this local number: 512-351-4003... I have the original remote for the HR10-250

I'm not getting far enough for the Tivo to try to call..... my problem is that the key strokes to manually program the number dont seem to be working right. When I enter 'pause' 'enter' 096, the Tivo just tries to change to channle '096' when I hit the next pause, same when I start punching in the phone number..... what am I doing wrong?Comment

You have to be in the phone dialing options screen, in the call prefix setting screen, on the TiVo. If you press those buttons in 'live TV' it will change channels.Comment
