Is there PC software or utility to access all of the 'metadata' (the title, year recorded, and details) from the selected title in TiVo Desktop (Windows XP) ?
You know, this is the block of information appearing in the light blue field when you click on a recording copied from TiVo.
I can't copy/paste from the TiVo Desktop screen like you can from an HTML webpage. I've tried opening .tivo files on my PC with the usual MS tools (Excel, Wordpad, Word) but nothing cracks the gibberish to show in text any of this metadata.
I'd like to read the metadata from my collection of TiVo Desktop recordings, so's I can search the descriptions to find content.
I know this metadata info is there, somewhere, in .tivo PC files. When I copy these files from my PC back to my TiVo, the restored recording in the "Now Playing List" shows all of this information about the recording.
