I recently made some changes to my Comcast cable service and had to exchange cable boxes. The old one had a nine pin serial port on the back to connect for channel changing. The new one has a headphone style jack similar to the jack on the Tivo box.

How do I connect these two serial-ly? I can configure a cable if I can find the pinouts for the ports. Or if Weaknees has one, consider it bought! And, yes I could use the IR blasters but I have had poor luck with those in the past. I'd rather wire them up.

I need a solution before my daughter tries to take over my Tivo box! Help!
