I have setup a PPP connection. When I look at it in HyperTerminal I see all the correct things. But when I try it for real, I get Service Unavailable. I watch and the com port sends out bytes and bytes come back but it doesn't connect. Is this service no longer available?

Is this for a networked Series1 TiVo? If so, sorry to say, we really don't have experience with that.Been here a long time . . . -

I got it working
I looked for help on other forums and found that I could not let the router assigned the IP address to TIVO but had to assign an address range and say let the TIVO assign it's own address. Works fine now.Comment

So DHCP was the problem and a static IP fixed it, from how it sounds.Been here a long time . . .Comment
