  • Series 2 Problem

    I bought a tivo series 2 tivo model#TCD540040, it will not connect, at the Getting Setup screen, it will connect, but always gets a connection interrupted error, wireless or through phoneline, I was on the phone with tivo support serveral times and they cannot figure it out, I am a network admin, so I on my router I opened all the port they told that should be open, but does not fix the problem, i'm all out of ideas, a little help please! I don't want a tivo doorstop I want a tivo that works, tivo can't help me, they only want me to but another tivo from them....Not gonna happen!

    Is there a specific error number or message that you get?

    Have you tried at different locations (eg another house/network)?

      Tried that, still gets the same message "Connection interrupted" N11, my network has a solid setup, everything else I use on it does not have a problem, I even took off the wep encryption, opened all the tcp/udp ports, and still the same issue

        Then it's most likely a bad hard drive, if you get that same error in several locations.
