  • Burn to dvd

Why am I having such a difficult time finding out about burning a high-definition program to a dvd and playing back in HD. Everyone I ask say it's the first they've heard of such. Does anyone know? can someone please help me transfer a HD program saved on my HD TIVO to a HD dvd please. Thanks

Those really aren't out at all yet, and if/when they come out, there are several layers of content restriction and copy protection that will come into play.

But, for now, there really aren't consumer-level Blu-Ray burners at all.
    Been here a long time . . .

      Burn to DVD

Thanks Michael, well that makes sense. Technology is not there yet, at least for us lowly consumers it's not. I'll give it about another year where they'll be accessible.

This drive is the first burner for PCs that records to Blu-ray Disc. This is from PCWORLD April 2006" As to decoding the Tivo file I don't know.
