If you don't have a phone line accessible for a tivo Series 2, is it better to use a wireless connection with Linksys router (model WRT54G)or use the homeplug powerline wireless modem jacks? My router is in another room where this tivo used to be. I used the router as a wired connection. If I wanted to use the router wirelessly, would I need some kind of adapter for my tivo? Also, if both would work, would they be the same speed? Please help!

The powerlines are faster, but the wireless adapter is less expensive. If you want to use a wireless connection, you will want this:
