Swap internal Tivo Modems?

My external modem from weaKnees was fried last week. My friend is offering me his Tivo that has a hard drive problem.
Question: Is it possible to swap internal modem's between Tivos? If yes, any idea how to do it?

Unfortunately that is really not possible; the modem consists of a handful of chips soldered to the motherboard.
