I have a Sony SVR-2000 standalone Tivo Series 1. I dial in using an external modem bought from weaknees.com and it works great using my analog landline. I just switched from landline to Tmobile@home service which uses VOIP and unfortunately now when my Tivo dials in it gives me the error "Failed. Couldn't connect." I have a lifetime subscription and an upgraded hard drive on this one so I'm hoping to keep it running. I tried different techniques in this forum about changing the dial/call waiting prefixes but so far no luck. Does anybody know the right entries to put in to make it work? I would greatly appreciated it because this has been driving me nuts the last few days.
By the way, does the Turbonet card solve this issue? I don't want to invest more on this Tivo and find out that it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.
