    networking HD/series 2 Tivo

    I'm considering buying a HD Tivo (I hate the comcast one).
    Will I be able to network the HD tivo with my series 2 tivos? Transfer programs? Thank you for your help .

    Yes, you can network the units together. The only restriction on the transfer of shows is that HD shows from the new unit can't be transfered to SD TiVos. The units won't down-rez the shows for that. But all SD shows can be transferred any direction.

      So how is that done?

      I have a HD Tivo with a multi-stream cable card, hard wired to my cable modem/router, and a S2 Humax T-800. I'd like to wirelessly connect the series 2 (as wires are a nuissance) but know the wired connection is much faster. What's the best way to do this wireless connection? I have not purchased any networking hardware yet. I have a Comcast provided NetGear WGR614 v8.
      I've been trying to look up answers to this question on the Tivo site and WK, but haven't yet found those answers. Thanks!

        You'll need a TiVo G Wireless adapter for the Humax. See:
