two tivo units on one dish

I have a sony direct tv receiver with tivo and a lifetime service. Can I use another 2 cable stand alone tivo receiver on the same lifetime service.

If you have multiple TiVos with DIRECTV and TiVo in one unit, then your DVR service on one will work on the other. HOWEVER, if you have lifetime service on a DIRECTV TiVo, then that service will NOT work on any TiVo that does not have DIRECTV built-in.
