    Actually, it wouldn't be directly to the computer, but directly to the router.

    Do you already have the wireless router? Either way, you need a total of one wireless router, and the one TiVo Wireless G adapter.
    Been here a long time . . .

      Oops, that is what I menat to say. Anyway, I have sent back the PowerLine adapters and hope to have better luck with the wireless. Thanks for your help.

        Not sure if this is applicable in this case or not, but when trying to get an X-10 remote system to work I had similar issues and found that my device and the transmitter were on different sides of my circuit breaker panel (seperate legs of 115V coming in from the pole). I had to "bridge" the 2 sides together to make it work. The part looks like a 220 circuit breaker. I just plugged it into the CB panel and my device started working.

        From Smarthome.com: "Tip: If X10 signals can only go from one part of the house to the other when your 220V dryer is on, you need a signal bridge."
