I've had my Humax DRT800 DVD Tivo for 19 months. It currently has lifetime service on it, which is frustrating me since I seem to have a dead unit now. Yesterday, I turned the power off to my whole house while i installed a new dishwasher. When I turned the power back on, the Tivo never started back up. The two lights (HDD & DVD) both turn on immediately, as the very first startup screen comes on. It never moves from there. I called Humax and they wanted me to kickstart it, but they described the moment of holding the pause button as "once the left light turns off." But neither of the lights ever turn off. They both stay on indefinitely and the screen never changes from the first initial Welcome, Please wait screen.

Please advise as to what this might mean? i don't understand why turning the power off, then an hour later turning it on could do something, but I hope you might. I would hate to buy something to fix it and it not be what is wrong. I'm also frustrated because I purchased the lifetime service to not have to mess with buying service again; however I've barely gotten my money's worth out of spending that money in the first place.
