  • Sony Sat T-60 cycles at Powering Up

I have a Sony Sat T-60 with 2X160GB drives that has hacked TIVO service. It has worked for 5 odd years, though for the last 2 or so has been temperamental when rebooted (got GSOD once that was fixed by plugging in phone line, and mostly unable to read kernal). Now it is stuck in a loop where it reboots, shows the Powering Up screen for about 15 seconds and then reboots again.

Does this seem power supply related or HDD related?

Will replacement of these drives remove the hacked service? I don't care about losing my programming...

The TIVO has never been near a phone jack. Does buying the wireless jacks resolve this problem?

I'm all ready to order but don't know what to get...

Before you start spending money why not attach the drive to your PC and read the logs?

You should probably run a diagnostic on the drives:

And not that weaKnees condones hacking DTV service (which we don't) but yes, your special mojo is tied to the software on those drives you have running.
That's all there is to it!
