TWC in Thousand Oaks Questions about Cable Cards

I just called TWC and they are telling me that I would only get 1 HBO /Showtime channel instead of the normal 5 or 6 if I used a cable card.
Does this sound like total crap or can they be serious. I just ordered a series 3 and was hoping to get dual cards for SDV until I upgrade my TV to HD in a month or so.

I have seen some threads about switched cable networks could it be that thousand oaks CA is one of those old switched networks.

If thats the case ... just another reason to go to FIOS....

So I called back got someone else and now have an appointment for Friday afternoon.. Hopefully everything will just work...

I just wanted to give an update. I called back had 1 appointment (90 minutes late) and they only got 1 of the 3 cable cards working. Had them come out a 2nd time ( on time) and on the first try got the 2nd cable card working.

Now life is good with 2 cables cards and all of the right channels. (HBO,Showtim,MAX ....)

Thanks for the help Jason ..... oh and I love my 1TB series 3....
