Recently my Directv TiVo Samsung S4080R bit the dust. Directv gave me the option of another TiVo unit (I didn't ask what brand/model) or one of their own DVR's.
I took the latter but am now having second thoughts. Seems as tho this unit doesn't produce as good a picture as the TiVo did, and I find the menu and remote to be much less user-friendly than the TiVo was. The main "selling" point on the Directv DVR was more capacity than the TiVo (100 hours vs 80 or so). That's looking like a poor trade-off at this point.
I'd very much appreciate any feedback on this, as I'm just about ready to call Directv and exchange their unit for another TiVo. Many thanks!
