All,
I have a Toshiba SD-H400 with Lifetime, love it. It has worked flawlessly (almost) since day 1.
A few days ago my wife complained that the Tivo Picture was frozen (Live tv), she continued watching TV on another input. I reset the Tivo by unplugging because I could not access Tivo at all. It worked fine after re-booting.
Today, I can see the menu fine, but no live tv in the background just a black screen or the occasional frozen image, Everything that was recorded to the TIVO prior plays back fine. But nothing new will record, TIVO acts like its recording, but it does nothing, the counter doesn't even seem to move or moves very slowly. For example I tried recording 15 minutes of a proogram, and on playback, no sound and only the occasional moving and still image(no sound), playback lasts just a few seconds.
I have tried switching the tivo to a different input on the tv and tried powering off the unit with no change. Would a weakknees hard drive upgrade resolve this or am i too late???? Or could it be something else?
