Are there any DVD Recorders that can be used to capture the programs from a Series 3 DVR? BluRay would be nice, but 480p would suffice. I'd be happy to transfer them to my computer and burn from there, but clearly TiVo doesn't want to implement that path.

I don't think you're going to have an easy time burning HD content--in HD--to DVD at this point from a S3 TiVo. A lot of content has DRM, burners are very expensive, etc. We certainly hope this will change in the near future, but for now, we haven't heard of a lot of success. -
I settle for recording HD content into 480p (normal DVD). Guess I'll have to wait. The hack to make an external drive works seems like a good alternative for storing movies, etc.Comment
