Series 2 Hard Drive swapping

I have a Series 2 (model # TCD540140) with lifetime service that has a hard drive that has failed. I have another series 2 without lifetime service (model # TCD240080) that is working fine. I would like to take the Hard Drive out of the working tivo and place it in the nonworking tivo. I know they are different model numbers, but could this work?

Nope. Certain models can swap drives, but not those two. Sorry.

Been here a long time . . .

Oh well. I guess now I'll have to decide if I want to invest in a new hard drive, since the Tivo has lifetime service. Thanks for the info and the quick reply!
