Analog audio output - variable?

I have a TiVo Premiere HD. My question is if the audio signal coming out of the analog audio or optical digital outputs is variable and controllable from the TiVo remote volume controls.

Well, no, it's not variable, but yes, it's controllable with the TiVo remote volume buttons because they control the TV or AV receiver, not the TiVo itself.
