    TIVO HD Stuck at Boot Splash Screen

    I have a TIVO HD with 160GB hard drive. TCD652160. It says Welcome, powering up, but never changes after that. The green LED stays lit but the unit does not acknowledge any remote control presses (the yellow LED light does not flicker with a remote control key press). The hard drive makes a few quiet initial ticking sounds on power up and then it is quiet. I tried the Kick Start Routine many times and the RED and Yellow LED lights never come on. (All lights breifly flash on power up then the Green LED lights up). I checked the power supply voltages and all are fine. Any thoughts on what is wrong?

    That's almost definitely a hard drive problem. A "replace" kit for your model should fix the problem:

      Thanks, that was my initial thought but it seemed a bit strange that I could not get into the kick start routine. Thank you for the direct link to the HD replacement kits. Much appreciated!
