Replacement Faceplates for DT Tivos

I have a faceplate and IR board from SDDVR40 that I purchased from weaknees.

Will this work on a TiVo TCD649080 DT?

One of the failings of the standalone tivos in the inability to control the device without a remote. This faceplate would be a great feature to have.

At one point, that worked fine and the buttons worked. Later updates seem to have disabled this. But you can give it a shot - we haven't seen any problems trying a new faceplate.

Please do be careful, though, with the white ribbon cable that attaches the faceplate. This cable can cause some serious problems. It must be fully and correctly inserted in the motherboard when you power up the TiVo. And you should never remove, insert, or adjust it when the unit is powered up.
